Georgetown University, facing increasing complaints from its residential neighbors about off-campus housing and under pressure to limit enrollment, has drafted a plan that includes more on-campus housing, food trucks and other amenities to keep students from spilling into the neighborhood.
The proposal calls for converting the on-campus Leavey Center Hotel into a new residence hall by fall 2015. Georgetown’s goal is to have 90 percent of undergraduates living on campus by fall 2025.
